Held training “Social inclusion of the victims and prevention of human trafficking in the local community”

Training “Social inclusion of the victims and prevention of human trafficking in the local community” was organized and created by NGO Atina with help of Trag foundation in order to strengthen mutual fight for better mechanisms for the prevention of human trafficking, but also to improve the existing system of social inclusion that would lead to a larger number of examples of successful reintegration. 

The contest of the training were international standards in social inclusion of victims of human trafficking, as well as the findings of existing research and methodologies for monitoring the phenomenon of human trafficking, developed in Serbia. In addition, training was dedicated to the analysis of practical examples from the long-term practice of cooperation of Association Atina with social welfare centers on the territory of Serbia, and monitoring the phenomenon of human trafficking at the local level, and consideration of possible activities to prevent trafficking in cooperation with numerous local actors. 

The training was participated by professionals from social protection system, i.e. social welfare centers and civil society organizations who may, or do, come into contact with (potential) victims of human trafficking. All together were 15 professionals from institutions and 11 from CSOs from Belgrade, Indjija, Pozarevac, Golubac, Veliko Gradiste, Knjazevac, Bujanovac and Zrenjanin. We are happy and satisfied with the response and participation of our colleagues, and richer for new acquaintances and exchange of experiences.
