Two civil society organizations have been selected - Citizens’ Association for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and All Forms of Violence against Women “ATINA” and “ASTRA - Anti-Trafficking Action”.

The Government of Serbia adopted the Strategy for Prevention and Suppression of Trafficking in Human Beings, as well as the accompanying Action Plan for 2017 and 2018 in August 2017, with the aim to provide a more adequate and efficient response of the state and society to the issue of human trafficking. The Strategy itself will serve to improve the system of prevention, assistance and protection of victims and suppression of trafficking in human beings, especially women and children, which is to be achieved through functional networking and institutional capacity building of all the actors involved. Also, the Strategy establishes partnership of state organs and civil society both at strategic and operational level.
