City Center for Social Work in Belgrade and Association Atina signed a Protocol on cooperation within the project “Support to the City Center for Social Work in Belgrade with implementing measures of social protection in providing protection to families with small children and unaccompanied migrant minors”, which is implemented and coordinated by the City Center, and financially supported by UNICEF. The Protocol defines obligations and roles of signatories, with the aim of providing a comprehensive response to protection and provision of support and assistance to the most vulnerable among the refugee population.

Within the project, NGO Atina performs consultative support to the expert teams from the City Center engaged in the field, as well as support to the employees of the City Center’s Department who are working with refugees and asylum seekers. NGO Atina’s role is also transferring knowledge and expertise based on longtime experience in providing direct assistance to victims of human trafficking and other forms of gender-based violence among the refugee population. City Center provided a team of expert workers who are participating in the implementation of project activities in the form of direct work in the field.
