Projects to support advocacy initiatives of the Local Networks for Advocacy and Monitoring in Serbia and Macedonia

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation, ATINA – Citizens’ Association for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and all Forms of Gender-based Violence (Serbia) and Macedonian Lawyers Association (Macedonia) launch a call for proposals within the project “Building Together – Community Monitoring and Advocacy” funded by The European Union.

The call will be open until 16 March 2018, at 24:00 CET.

Opportunities and obstacles for the inclusion of refugees and migrants into the main streams of society in Serbia

On Monday, December 18, at 11 o’clock, in the small hall of the Media Center, there was a presentation of the results of a research “Opportunities and obstacles for the inclusion of refugees and migrants into the main streams of society in Serbia” (Protection of refugees and migrants in Serbia from 2015 to 2017). The research represents an overview of data on the position of migrants and refugees in Serbia, with a special focus on the rights of women among the migrant population.

The city of Vranje is a part of the project "Let’s Build Together"

Local network for the prevention and suppression of human trafficking from Vranje is actively involved in the activities of the project “Let’s Build Together”. In the middle of July, a meeting was held in this city with the members of the Network and representatives of the Vranje City Assembly who have, once again, expressed their readiness to become actively engaged in the work of this Network.

Donation for the refugees from Konrad-Adenauer Foundation

Belgrade - At the initiative of the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation, German foundations in Belgrade have, with the support of German Friendship Association, collected 1,500 euros and today this donation was handed over to NGO “Atina”, and is intended for the care of migrants and refugees in Belgrade.

Head of the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation office in Belgrade, Norbert Beckmann-Dierkes, said that at the moment the policy toward refugees in Europe is in “turbulent phase”.
