The director of the Association for Combating Trafficking of Women Atina Marijana Savic believes there is no gender equality without equality on society, and that there will be no progress "unless we stand up against violence".

"Atina", over 15 years of work, has provided support for thousands of women and girls who were human trafficking victims, she noted.

She payed special attention to migrants as the refugee population.

„Migrants in Serbia and media - what is the subject of their interest and how to communicate” is the title of this workshop that we organized at the end of March, 2018, within project activities, for seven Local migrant integration support network representatives, which are operating within the project “Building together”.

Subotica part of the Network for improving the position of migrants

Subotica is part of the Local network for improving the position of migrants since July last year, and the network's coordinator, Ilija Djukanovic, during the interview for our TV station said that, in addition to networking with other municipalities affected by the migrant crisis and exchange of experiences, they also created the first report on the situation in Subotica, and finalized the call for civil society organizations who applied to carry out activities involving migrant population.

Second regional meeting - Coordinators of local networks in Serbia and Macedonia exchanged experiences on migrant issues

 

Representatives of the cities and municipalities with the highest number of migrants in Serbia met last week in Skopje with colleagues from Macedonia. On this occasion, coordinators of networks in Sid, Subotica, Sremska Mitrovica, Belgrade, Vranje, Presevo, and colleagues from Gevgelija, Kumanovo, and Skopje exchanged their experiences on the implementation of the project “Building together”.
